Aircraft Carrying US Defense Secretary Forced to Land in UK Because of Fracture in Cockpit Window
A plane transporting Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth was forced to make an unscheduled landing in the United Kingdom on Wednesday due to a fissure was discovered in the jet's front window, per an official announcement which stated that the secretary was unharmed.
"The jet touched down following standard procedures and everyone onboard, among them Pete Hegseth, is safe," a press officer commented in a online announcement.
He was traveling back from a quick journey to Brussels during the flight.
This occurrence does not mark the initial instance that a American defense plane ferrying a senior official has encountered technical problems.
Earlier this year, a American military jet ferrying Marco Rubio to the city in Germany was compelled to turn back to Washington after suffering a technical issue.
