The loved ones of teens missing after a tragic inferno at a bar in a Switzerland's alpine town are enduring an agonising wait for confirmed information and requesting information about their loved ones publicly.

The fire devastated the Le Constellation bar in the alpine resort, located in the Alps of south-west Switzerland, in the early hours of the first day of the year. Verified footage reveal the roof structure being engulfed in flames as beverages with sparklers are raised in celebration.

Officials have warned that it could take considerable time to identify the victims of the tragedy, which resulted in the death of numerous partygoers and injured another 119. Authorities noted on the latest update that the majority of the those hurt have been accounted for, with efforts still underway to locate the other six.
