The children's author David Walliams lost his contract with longtime publisher.

Prolific children's author and entertainer David Walliams has parted ways with his publisher HarperCollins UK, as confirmed by the firm.

A spokesman for the company stated: "After careful consideration, and under the leadership of its new CEO, HarperCollins UK has chosen to cease publishing any new titles by David Walliams."

It has been reported that the move was taken subsequent to an review of claims about conduct deemed unsuitable towards female individuals.

The publisher declined to specify the motivations for this action, noting: "We refrain from speaking about confidential company decisions."

A Prolific Writing Journey

Walliams stands as a most prolific writers for young readers, with sales exceeding more than 60 million copies internationally in dozens of tongues.

The debut children's novel from Walliams, *The Boy in the Dress*, was published by HarperCollins back in 2008.

Some of his books, for example *Gangsta Granny* and *Billionaire Boy*, have found new life as small-screen adaptations.

He has published more than 40 books in total, encompassing a holiday title called *Santa & Son*, which was published by HarperCollins this past October.

Television and Literature

His initial claim to fame came on the TV sketch series *Little Britain* and has been honored with National Television Awards for his work as a judge on *Britain's Got Talent*.

He was awarded an OBE back in 2017 for his services to philanthropic and artistic endeavors.

The publisher's decision comes after the selection of Kate Elton as HarperCollins UK's recent CEO in October.
