Kai Trump can count on multiple prominent cheerleaders when she starts her LPGA debut this Thursday.
This teenage golfer, who happens to be the granddaughter of Donald Trump, was granted a tournament invitation to participate at Florida's Annika event in Florida.
The former president, someone who loves golf, owns multiple international courses and often matches against his granddaughter.
"He's pretty good. I can't say much but we play tight competitions," she revealed.
She mentioned that her grandfather, who cannot attend, advised her: "Just avoid anxiety."
"He essentially advised me to compete and have fun," she added.
"To me, he's just an ordinary family member. He won't be there this weekend. He's busy with world affairs, so he's rather occupied."
As an amateur, Kai has competed in a mere three competitions this year and maintains ranking 461 in the American Junior Golf Association rankings.
However she's able to receive tips from 15-time major champion, who is dating Kai's mother.
"He represents the best player in the world," Kai expressed.
"Additionally, he's an even better human being. He told me to compete, have fun, and go with the flow."
The golfer will compete against several the biggest names in the sport at this tournament, including world number two the champion, British Charley Hull, Lexi Thompson and 2023 champion champion Vu.
Officials mentioned that her participation brings the sport to different demographics, specifically reaching the next generation.
Kai has millions of followers and recently launched her own fashion and living label.
She begins at 5:30 PM GMT.
