Two Men Face Charges Over Heathrow ‘Pepper Spray’ Incident

Two individuals are now facing charges following a suitcase robbery where a believed to be pepper spray led to people being hurt at the major London air hub.

Tyrone Richards, 31, and Anton Clarke-Butcher, 24, have both been charged with two counts of robbery and two counts of administering a noxious substance, authorities have stated.

This legal action stems from an probe of an assault at the multi-storey car park at Terminal 3 on the weekend. Prior to the attack, two female travelers had their luggage taken after getting out of a parking garage elevator, authorities reported.

A toddler was among those injured in the event. Five people went to hospital for treatment and were subsequently released.

This event – described by police as was a standalone event and not considered a terror-related act – caused train delays and the partial closure of the main airport road tunnel and the T3 parking area for a brief period.
